Trunk-or-Treat!

Here is a better look at Elaina as Dorothy. We went trunk-or-treating at our ward's Halloween party on Saturday. She loved it! I know her favorite candy is M&Ms, because when someone put that in her basket, she finally wanted to stop and start eating. She got the black balloon at an earlier party and insisted on taking it with her, so that's the reason for the balloon. It turned out to be a great idea - it got so crowded there and she kept wanting to wander off, but when she did, we always knew where she was. Afterward, Torry and Elaina sat on the couch, enjoying their spoils.

Our little Dorothy meets the Witches of Oz

We went downtown for the city's Halloween parade and trick-or-treating. All of the little kids were dressed up and everything was really busy. On the way back, we walked past the Wicked Theatre and Torry thought it would be cute to have her picture taken with the musical poster. For anyone who hasn't seen Wicked - we highly recommend it.

Her new princess chair

We finally got Elaina a birthday present - super belated! But the wait was well worth it - she loves her new chair. I'm afraid it's made a couch potato out of her - she reads in it, watches movies in it and holds tea parties with her stuffed animals in it. So cute! I never thought that a piece of furniture could make such an amazing toy!

Happy Fall!

I love this time of year! The change in the weather, the colors and, of course Halloween! We went to the Pumpkin Patch with our business school playgroup. Elaina loved getting muddy and crawling around the pumpkins. They also had a big, yellow slide that she couldn't get enough of. Afterward, we hit McDonald's and got her favorite lunch - a cheeseburger, fries and a soda.

The Haunted Village

We went downtown Chicago to the Haunted Village in Daley Plaza. They had a show with fire jugglers, a dog that did flips and a ton of gymnasts and acrobats. Elaina was facinated by all the performers, especially the dog. Unfortunately, our camera's batteries died before we could take any pictures. Elaina loved coloring her pumpkin and the slide/statue. And thankfully Torry "forgot" the messy pumpkin(marker was smearing on everything)at Corner Bakery where we had lunch and froze in the basement dining room.

Certain people who don't see me often, have been clamoring to see my pregnant belly. (I also regret not having any pictures of Elaina's pregnancy) So here I am - 18 weeks and counting.

What should we name the little guy?

Torry and I can't seem to agree on a single name - (I think Torry has vetoed every name I've mentioned.) I know names are a big personal preference thing, but what are your favorite boy names? We need help!

It's a BOY!

We are going to be having a little boy - due March 14th! We are happy to be assured of at least one son in the family. I'm almost half way through my pregnancy and it sure has gone by quickly. I can't believe that our little family is getting bigger - it almost seems like yesterday when we brought home Elaina. And she is already two! We keep trying to explain to her about the new addition to our family, but she doesn't seem to understand. We took her to the Ultrasound and she just seemed worried about her mommy up on the table. She is going to make a wonderful big sister though. She loves her baby doll and likes to pretend to give it "yucky" medicine.
